What is pelvic health physical therapy?

For starters, physical therapists are experts in the neuromusculoskeletal system, and we use our knowledge of how the body works and moves to help people feel and move better – without the use of medication or surgery.

Now, pelvic health physical therapy is a specialized field in physical therapy, where we work with all things pelvic-floor-related. This means: how you pee, how you poop, and how sex is going for you. This is because our pelvic floor muscles play a big role in our bladder, bowel and sexual function.

Check out this interview I had with my friend Austin Madriaga of The PT Lounge, where I talk more about what pelvic health physical therapy is and who we can help!
